Milhouse Shares 3 Best Practices

Our Director of Project Development, James Fifer, appeared on a panel discussing Best Practices at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Illinois District Office’s 8(a) Small Business Conference. Other panelists included Rudy Pamintuan of Sherman Consulting, Yash Pandhi of Collabralink, and Vivian McGrew of Steiner Security.

The audience was filled with aspiring small business leaders and entrepreneurs, looking to gain insight on best business practices from successful SBA members. During the panel, James provided three tips to building a successful business.

  • Be persistent – Learn from past errors and mistakes, and apply that knowledge to new situations
  • Always deliver quality work – Ensure your company delivers quality work to strengthen partnerships and  cultivate repeat business
  • Focus on the people – Move the focus from revenue to the employees. Having quality employees will ultimately increase the revenue of the company
