2018 Culinary Care Cookoff Awards

Milhouse Charities and the extended Milhouse family are proud supporters of Culinary Care, a non-profit organization that delivers free meals donated by local restaurants to cancer patients in local area hospitals during their treatment. Culinary Care was found by Courtney White five years ago in memory of her father, who died of lung cancer when she was a teenager.

“Every extra second we had, we were at the hospital,” White said. “So my mom had no time to go grocery shopping and prepare a meal… I know from experience the joy and sense of relief these meals can bring. The last thing you should worry about, the last thing you’re thinking about is what you’re going to eat,” White said. “So I created Culinary Care to fill that void.”

This year, the Milhouse team was chosen to compete in the Protein category. While we didn’t win the competition, the event was a great success, with competing teams collectively contributing over $120,000 to the cause! For more information, please visit https://culinarycare.org.
