Milhouse Wins Best and Brightest Elite Award

On Monday, July 17th Milhouse attended the Best and Brightest Awards as one of the ‘101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For’ in Chicago.

We were honored and surprised to receive an Elite Award at the ceremony as well. Milhouse Engineering & Construction, Inc. was named ‘Best of the Best Medium Size Businesses’ for the first time!

Winners of Elite Awards rank in the top 10% of all companies in a variety of categories including compensation, benefits, and employee solutions; employee enrichment, and retention; employee education and development; and diversity and inclusion.

Dolla Crater, the EVP of Business Operations, was on hand to accept the awards. When asked how Milhouse is able to achieve such great success she said, “It’s our people. They are the backbone of our company and without great people we would not be successful.”

Milhouse prides itself on focusing on employees. Mr. Milhouse believes if you hire great people, and challenge them to excel, success will come; and it has. Milhouse has grown to nearly 200 employees in its 15 years and we continue to grow, and expand into new markets.

Milhouse offers a competitive compensation package, encourages all employees to complete 16 hours of training per year, and provides opportunities for training in house. We also hold monthly socials for employees to gather and get to know each other better. These socials draw individuals from executive level to entry level, helping to foster an open and approachable work environment.
