High Speed Rail in Illinois (Chicago to St. Louis)

Milhouse is a key member of the Program Management Team for this ground-breaking project being funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The Chicago-to-St. Louis high speed rail line is part of the “Midwest Hub”, one of six rail corridors designated as potential high speed rail routes by the Federal Railway Administration. The overall project involves upgrades to the existing rail ROW to meet the requirements of high speed operations, the additions of siding to facilitate coordination of freight and passenger operations, and the procurement of new rolling stock and general improvements to control systems and facilities.
