Milhouse Celebrates Safe + Sound Week 2022
Here at the Milhouse family of companies, safety is not only a number one priority, it is part of our culture. We ensure that safety is part of everything we do, whether in the office or in the field. During the first half of the year, we demonstrated our commitment to safety through some of the following initiatives:
- Updated company-wide safety training through Milhouse University
- Created training plans for each operational group within the Milhouse family of companies
- Provided updated CPR, flagging, and signal training to our field teams
- Updated all incident reporting forms and created a new online reporting system to better facilitate timely reporting of safety incidents
- Updated all existing safety and vehicle policies
- Created a more robust return to work protocol
- Acceptance in a captive insurance program due to our high safety standards
Through the hot summer months we have also taken the time to properly work with our teams in safely beating the heat, including taking the necessary precautions to avoid or mitigate heat related sickness. We have also updated evacuation plans for our largest offices and provided company-wide training and materials on safe evacuation procedures.
As we move into the remainder of the year we plan on enhancing our safety program through the following programs and initiatives:
- Creating a front-line leadership safety program
- Attending risk control workshops through the country
- Providing further enhancements to our safety program
- Using technology to facilitate safe driving practices
