Melanie Jefferies, PMP, DASM, is Chief Operating Officer, Production and Delivery, Engineering Services at Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc., and Principal of Milhouse Development, LLC. With more than a decade of leadership experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, she leads firmwide performance and delivery for engineering services, helping teams strengthen execution, elevate operational processes, and deliver consistent outcomes for clients across Milhouse’s business lines. She brings a program management background that supports disciplined planning, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organization.
In addition to her operational leadership at Milhouse, Melanie co-founded Milhouse Development in 2019 to advance real estate projects that strengthen communities and expand economic opportunity. As Principal, she helps shape a multi-market, $30 million portfolio and partners with stakeholders to deliver developments that reflect the needs and character of the neighborhoods they serve.
Melanie is recognized as a champion for building inclusive teams and expanding access to opportunity within the AEC industry. She mentors emerging professionals and contributes to mission-driven organizations through board service, including Milhouse Charities and Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago. She also serves on the boards of Milhouse Engineering and Construction and Milhouse Construction.
