Black Creativity Gala at MSI Chicago

Black Creativity offers a wide range of targeted, culturally relevant STEM education programming supported by the Museum of Science and Industry’s Welcome to Science Initiative. Black Creativity programs and exhibits reach over 10,000 students, their teachers, and their families in underserved Chicago neighborhoods each year. Highlights of the exhibit include the nation’s longest running juried exhibition of African-American art, with over 100 works by adult and youth artists, the Black Creativity Innovation Studio and Innovator Gallery.

This year, Wilbur C. Milhouse III was honored to be a featured innovator in the field of Engineering and Construction, describing his work as city building.

The exhibition, which runs through February 24, was kicked off by the annual Black Creativity Gala, a highlight of the winter season, attended by prominent business, political and community leaders. Mr. Milhouse, family and friends were delighted to share the evening with over 800 guests, while helping support the museum’s mission.
