Celebrating Women’s History Month: Voices from Milhouse Women

Celebrating Women’s History Month: Voices from Milhouse Women

Since 1987, March has been widely celebrated as Women’s History Month, a time dedicated to honoring women’s countless achievements and contributions throughout history. It serves as a reminder of the struggles, triumphs, and relentless determination exhibited by women across the globe in the pursuit of equality and recognition.

At Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc. (Milhouse), we recognize the importance of Women’s History Month as more than just a commemoration; it’s a reaffirmation of our steadfast commitment to diversity and inclusion. Milhouse is committed to extensive initiatives to foster active diversity, offer family support, ensure equitable salary structures, and actively promote women into leadership roles. Today, women constitute just 16% of all engineers in the United States. However, Milhouse is making significant strides by nearly doubling this figure with 28.2% female representation in our workforce. With ambitious targets set, we aim to increase this proportion to 40% by 2024, demonstrating our unwavering dedication to gender diversity and equality within our organization. Additionally, 39% of our leaders are women.

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we would like to honor the diverse voices and experiences of the remarkable women at Milhouse. We are proud to share the voices of our women team members across different roles and departments in the organization.
