Habitat for Humanity provides a hand up, not a hand out, to hard-working families with low incomes who are willing to partner with Habitat as homeowners. As part of the process, an applicant must:

• Complete at least 400 hours of sweat equity towards the building of Habitat homes
• Be willing to live in a neighborhood in which Habitat is currently building
• Be willing to attend required workshops for success in homeownership

The eight Habitat for Humanity affiliates across Chicagoland have built homes in over 20 neighborhoods throughout the Chicago metro area and collar communities. Milhouse Charities and the extended Milhouse family is proud of our commitment to help needy families achieve the dream of home ownership, and play a vital role in helping to build these two beautiful homes!

Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc. is no stranger to helping revitalize the historic West Pullman neighborhood, with several high profile projects, including the Walmart Supercenter and Pullman Park Phase 1 development.
