Milhouse Bike To Work in July Program
Milhouse Green kicked off their first initiative – the Bike to Work program – with a bang on June 28th! The program reimburses members $1 for every mile they bike for their commute as a thanks for reducing our collective carbon footprint. Other perks of the program include raffles for free bike gear, socials, breakfasts, free Divvy membership, free gym access, and a prize bike given to the member with the highest mileage at the end of the year. Over 40 team members have joined and in just one month, almost 1,000 miles have already been logged. This equates to 18 cement trucks full of CO2 emissions eliminated by not driving!
Milhouse Green is a sustainability initiative that was started in alignment with the Milhouse vision to “Be a Positive Impact”. The program was founded by civil engineers Kaela Worman and Yousef Dana with the belief that being a positive impact starts first with the self, then spreads to the family and office, and from there- spreads to community and the world. Following this framework, their goal is to make Milhouse a more sustainable company.
