Milhouse was selected by the Illinois Department of Transportation for the reconstruction of three separate structures carrying Cermak Rd over the IHB Railroad, 25th Avenue, and Addison Creek in the Villages of Westchester, IL and Broadview, IL. This project consisted of structural steel repairs, substructure repairs, pier cap reconstruction, replacement of the bridge deck and approach slabs, HMA and PCC pavement connectors, pedestrian accommodations, lighting, drainage improvements, and guardrail replacement. All work was completed with staged construction allowing one lane of travel in both directions along Cermak Rd.
This project required coordination with IDOT, Indiana Harbor Belt (IHB) railroad, Village of Westchester, Village of Broadview, and several utility owners.
