The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey redeveloped Hangars 15 and 16 on the West Airfield of JFK International Airport. This program included providing additional hardstands and deicing positions for aircraft, which required the abatement and demolition of Buildings 15 and 16, repaving the Apron, and reconfiguring the Hangar 19 site. In addition, the program included grading and drainage, utility protection, AOA fence relocation, and installation of a Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS).
Milhouse and WSP Global developed a photometric analysis study for the additional lighting required to illuminate the new hardstands and deicing positions for aircraft.
Milhouse provided engineering design for the additional high mast lighting, new electrical service for lighting and PIDS, and modifications of the electrical utilities within the project site.
