As part of a large program to install hundreds of automatic-circuit reclosers (ACR) on existing power distribution lines in Maryland, Milhouse was retained to provide engineering services to support Pepco with recloser designs.
Each project required a unique scope of work including:
- Creating both a telecom and distribution line work request (WR) under the correct blanket EPS ID provided in WMIS for each recloser location
- Fault current studies
- Field walk-down/finalizing locations
- Designing protection settings
- Designing overhead recloser installation
- Project management
Deliverables included:
- Weekly project tracking reports
- Fault current study reports
- Field walk-down documentation
- Bill of materials (BOM)
- Approval package (submitted electronically)
- Permit applications/fees
- Coordination study reports with protection settings
- Work packages for construction
