Milhouse provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection services to various projects across the University of Chicago Medical Campus.
Milhouse furnished mechanical rework to the DCAM Sub-basement space, which required significant secondary system modification concerning the spaces’ heating, ventilation, and air condition. Branch ductwork, air devices, and sensors associated with the new ceiling layout and room space allocation were updated to meeting the City of Chicago ventilation code based on occupancy classification, gross square footage, and ordinance requirements.
The mechanical work to the fourth-floor rooms of the DCAM building required only secondary system modification concerning the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning of the spaces. Branch ductwork, air devices, and sensors associated with the new ceiling layout and room space allocation were updated to meet the City of Chicago ventilation code based on occupancy classification, gross square footage, and ordinance requirements.
The mechanical rework to the Comer Hospital space within the room 0125 group required secondary system modification concerning the areas’ heating, ventilation, and air condition.
The mechanical rework to the Mitchel Hospital space within rooms TW118 TW120, and TW122 required secondary system modification concerning the areas’ heating, ventilation, and air condition. Branch ductwork, air devices, and sensors associated with the new ceiling layout and room space allocation were updated to meet the City of Chicago ventilation code based on occupancy classification, gross square footage, and ordinance requirements. Existing fan coil units had sufficient capacity to handle the demands of each space and were subsequently reused along with their respective thermostats.
