Dr. Dawn Milhouse, executive director and co-founder of Milhouse Charities, is deeply committed to advancing diversity in STEM. With over 25 years of nonprofit leadership, she cultivates strong partnerships, empowers emerging leaders through mentorship, and drives meaningful community engagement. Since 2012, her servant leadership has guided Milhouse Charities in delivering over 13,000 service hours, creating a lasting and transformative impact on communities.
Dr. Milhouse holds an honorary doctorate from Global International Alliance University, a Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University, and a Bachelor’s in Public Relations from Columbia College Chicago. She is an active leader in community advocacy, serving on the Executive Board for the Polished Pebbles Girls Mentoring Program and advisory boards for Chi Gives Back and Girls 4 Science.
Her dedication to empowering communities has earned her recognition, including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, Chicago Defender Woman of Excellence, Crain’s Chicago Notable Black Leader, and Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Leader in Philanthropy.
