Dr. Dawn Milhouse, executive director and co-founder of Milhouse Charities, is passionate about advancing underrepresented youth and minorities in STEM fields. With over 25 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, she builds meaningful partnerships with STEM-focused organizations, mentoring future leaders in the communities we serve. Under her servant leadership, Milhouse Charities, Milhouse team members, and the community have delivered over 12,000 hours of hands-on community service since Milhouse Charities’ inception in 2012.
Dr. Milhouse holds a Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor’s in Public Relations from Columbia College Chicago. She also serves on the Executive Board for The Polished Pebbles Girls Mentoring Program, the advisory board of Chi Gives Back and Girls 4 Science, and the steering committee for the iCan Girls in Engineering Georgia partnership with Georgia Power and Atlanta Gas Light. Dr. Milhouse’s commitment to empowering communities has earned her notable recognition, including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Leader in Philanthropy, and Crain’s Chicago Notable Black Leaders.
