Wilbur C. Milhouse III Named an Atlanta Business League 2023 Man of Influence

Chairman and CEO of Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc. recognized as an influential business leader in the Atlanta area

ATLANTA, GA (July 19, 2023) – The Atlanta Business League (ABL) has named Wilbur C. Milhouse III to its 2023 Men of Influence list. This list recognizes business owners, professionals, and community and civic leaders in the Atlanta metropolitan area who are leading entrepreneurs in their industry, have accomplished history-making projects, or have a vast influence in politics and government. Additionally, they have demonstrated their commitment to the citizens of Atlanta through significant involvement and participation in community service.

As Chairman/CEO, Mr. Milhouse oversees the entirety of the Milhouse Family of Companies. The most recent venture is Milhouse Forestry, a vegetation management firm providing line clearance and emergency storm response services to electric utility providers. In its first two years in business, the firm has helped hundreds of thousands of residents across the Southeast ‘keep the lights on’ in their homes and commercial buildings. Additionally, it has created hundreds of new jobs in the Atlanta area and continues to grow electric utility providers with line clearance and emergency storm response services, adding more career opportunities for the community.

In 2012 Mr. Milhouse expanded his philanthropic reach by co-founding Milhouse Charities. This 501c3 non-profit organization supports the education, exposure, and advancement of underrepresented youth and minorities in science, technology, engineering, and math. Milhouse Charities has served over ten thousand hours of volunteer community service to STEM, resource, and mentorship programs. This past year, Mr. Milhouse and Milhouse Charities launched the first “iCan Girls in Engineering Georgia” initiative alongside Georgia Power Company and Atlanta Gas Light. This conference included hands-on STEM activities and educational sessions to support young women in exploring careers in engineering.
