During the past 25 years, the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area has experienced rapid growth. Atlanta Gas Light, an AGL Resources Company, is one of the first gas service Atlanta utilities or gas companies Atlanta established in the United States, as well as one of the first Atlanta gas companies and a trusted natural gas provider with affordable natural gas prices, to begin a comprehensive natural gas pipeline replacement program by the Atlanta Gas Light company.
Milhouse is providing design services to AGL for various Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) infrastructure projects in the greater Atlanta area. The projects for the Atlanta Gas and Light company typically involve coordination with roadway improvement plans prepared by outside consultants for GDOT or local municipalities.
Services provided by Milhouse include:
• Identifying existing AGL gas main/infrastructure locations
• Reviewing the design plans for conflicts with existing AGL infrastructure
• Conducting field visits as required to evaluate conflicts
• Designing gas main relocations on behalf of AGL in areas where conflicts cannot be avoided
